Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Plan for Mental Wellness

Creating a mental health checklist for success involves addressing various aspects of you as a human being, including emotional, psychological, and social factors. Success is defined different by everyone, how we find that success is as well.  Here is a starting point for you on a daily,  weekly, and monthly level to set your mind up for success!

Daily Practices

  1. Practice Gratitude:
    • Start or end your day by noting three things you are grateful for.
  2. Mindfulness and Meditation:
    • Spend at least 10-15 minutes in mindfulness or meditation to reduce stress and improve focus.
  3. Physical Activity:
    • Engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity to boost mood and energy levels.
  4. Healthy Diet:
    • Eat balanced meals with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and water. Avoid excessive caffeine and sugar.
  5. Adequate Sleep:
    • Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night.

Weekly Practices

  1. Social Connections:
    • Connect with friends or family members to foster a sense of belonging and support.
  2. Self-Care Activities:
    • Engage in activities you enjoy and that relax you, such as reading, hobbies, or nature walks.
  3. Reflective Journaling:
    • Spend time journaling about your thoughts and feelings to gain clarity and perspective.
  4. Digital Detox:
    • Take breaks from screens and social media to reduce stress and mental fatigue.

Monthly Practices

  1. Mental Health Check-Ins:
    • Reflect on your mental health status and any changes in mood or behavior.
  2. Goal Setting and Review:
    • Set personal and professional goals and review your progress regularly.
  3. Professional Development:
    • Engage in activities that promote learning and growth in your career or personal interests.
