We are 3 months into 2024!  Lets talk about those resolutions you made.  Going well?  Not going well?  There is still time!  Renewing your resolutions can bring fresh energy and motivation into your goals. Here are five ways to renew your resolutions:

  1. Reflect on Your Progress: Take some time to reflect on how far you’ve come since you initially set your resolutions. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, and acknowledge the progress you’ve made. Reflecting on your successes can reignite your motivation and remind you of your ability to overcome challenges.
  2. Revisit Your Why: Reconnect with the reasons why you set your resolutions in the first place. What inspired you to make these changes in your life? Reminding yourself of your underlying motivations can reignite your passion and determination to pursue your goals.
  3. Set New Milestones: Break down your long-term resolutions into smaller, manageable milestones. Setting new short-term goals can help you maintain focus and momentum. These milestones should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART), providing clear targets to work towards.
  4. Switch Up Your Routine: If you’ve been following the same routine for a while, consider making changes to keep things fresh and exciting. Explore new workout routines, try different healthy recipes, or experiment with alternative approaches to achieve your goals. Variety can prevent boredom and plateaus, keeping you engaged and motivated.
  5. Seek Support and Accountability: Surround yourself with supportive individuals who can encourage you and hold you accountable for your goals. Share your renewed resolutions with friends, family, or a support group, and consider finding an accountability partner to keep you motivated. Having a supportive community can provide encouragement during challenging times and help you stay committed to your resolutions.

Renewing your resolutions is an opportunity not a choir.  Making sure those resolutions matter to you enough to change is the number 1 factor for success.  Effort is given to those things that matter most in our hearts and in our heads. Make this the last year for the same old resolutions!
